Filled it up fast. I still have some driveway work to load the rear section from the side.

Finally some space in the old garage with out juggling cars. Next plan is to make this garage a showroom garage. Better lighting, add insulation, drywall, tile etc...

Rear driveway work continues. Done enough to use it. Extended and buried downspouts to drainage.

New the lighting in the smaller upper garage. Replaced six 48 inch T12 lamps with six 96 inch 4 bulb T8 lamps with daylight bulbs. Made a big difference. No more buzzing, flickering and slow starting.

Plan is for it to be like yours. Clean, bright, simple, uncluttered.

Nice! You have the ideal of being able to have multiple vehicles stored/sheltered in one facility and then another where you can just enjoy one and hang out.

What did you use for the base material for your side entrance and in the shop before concrete.

The main base for the shop was what my excavator called item 4. Machine tamped. The front incoming drive is crusher run also machine tamped. The side/back drive is just all the top soil from the shop site. It will settle a bit but it;s not for heavy/daily use.

Started insulation and dry wall of smaller "show" garage. A few years ago after drywalling my crooked old un-level, un-square 1850's post and beam house I swore to never drywall again. But here we go. A least it's close to square. I am going to use clear coated pine tongue and grove on the ceiling to go with the style in the house. The color will be some sort of cream with an industrial green and black stripe to match the steel shelving I scored. I have enough of them to line the whole side wall. That should give me a nice 50's/60's look.

Installing windows in back wall. I think I am going to put a slider in between them and have a small deck along the back.

LIftMaster 8500's installed.

They are so quiet and smooth. Very happy I went with these.

I was always told the concrete shouldn't touch wood when putting up walls on a slab with out that paper foam stuff between the two?

Yeah, that's probably best. There are many things I could have done better but not going to fret to much about them.

Started staining the big garage. I went with Olympic Elite Canyon Brown. There is no easy way to do a garage this big. I bought a roller that fit between the boards and started with that. Is took a long time to make any progress. I went and got a in expensive Wagner sprayer and that works well to cover the surface but you have to mask and cut in a lot. Plus it uses more stain. I'm 15 gallons in and will end up about 20 total. Biggest problem with the sprayer is holding the unit with a quart of stain in it starts out ok but rapidly wears your arm out. Remote pump with just a spray gun would be the way to go.

My small "showroom" garage is coming along also. I built a bench from some surplus shelving and two Craftsman boxes. It's not much of a work bench... more of a cabinet/counter type. Not sure what I want to top it with, temp put plywood on top with stain and varnish.

Done staining other than some cutting in around the gutters. Not something I want to do again real soon.
