this thread is for non-sparking/safety type tools. Here are a few I have picked up in the last year mostly at flea markets. And thanks to Outlaw,I did not wire wheel or grind on them!

AMPCO W283 1/2 breaker bar
AMPCO W-70 6" Adjustable wrench
AMPCO ALBR W-3120 DBE

Don Long has some really nice stuff like he said in the other thread. I don't remember where he posted them before but it was quite drool worthy.

Sorry Rag, the couple pieces I hung onto including a nice ratchet are in storage. I sold my few extensions and sockets long ago in the hope that someone needed them to use.

Berylco dbe is a recent find here.

These tools sure are expensive. I was looking them up. I work in a big factory, I need to ask the maint crew about them and see what we have at work.

Here are my contributions...
Ampco W-214 pipe wrench, 24"
Ampco W-73 adjustable, 12"

The big pipe wrench was a $5 yard sale find. The jaws are made of BeCu, while the rest of the wrench is aluminum bronze.

The Berylco hammer is the greenish looking one in this yard sale pic, can see a couple brass ones too. I know not to sand or wire wheel this stuff, is there a recommended way to clean the green off?

I think I have the same PROTO brass hammer. It was bought by my grandfather after WW2 when he opened his auto parts store and used there for 45 years. Several of his old tools made their way to my garage I'll post a pic of it later or tomorrow.

That green is like what happens with copper. I know if there is copper in your swimming pool water it will turn people with light colored hair, greenish blue. the way you get it out of their hair is with baking soda and water as a paste.

I'm sure the linesman pliers won't be non sparking if you chop a live wire.

Common sense has to be applied, at least they won't spark as they bounce off steelwork on the way down after being dropped.

Another application I've not seen shown here is the bung opener for the large and small drum caps.

:) Non-sparking is not the only application. I know an MRI tech who uses Berylco tools because they are safe to use around huge magnets.

I just discovered this new thread and have a few shots to share.

This is a display that used to be in the garage. Today they sit in a milk crate waiting to be put back out

These are cement trowels (all brass)

2015-12-19 14.45.35 by don long, on Flickr

There are screw drivers and spanner wrenches on my bench right after getting them (one lot)

A few of my plumb bobs and a level and scale

And my hammer collection along with a few adjustable wrenches

not completely sure if this is what it appears to be, but if it is, it's a hell of a deal:

HARDY 12-pc 1/2" drive 6-pt SAE socket set w/plastic box
see http://hardynonspark.com/hardy-non-sparking-hand-tools/12-piece-12-drive-socket-set/
5/16" - 1-1/16"
listed as used. (see photos)
$8.59 + $17.99 shipping now. 0 bids now. ends Weds. 12/06
https://www.ebay.com/itm/372152022302?ul_noapp=true

not a clue on COO - seller says there is nothing marked anywhere that would indicate where it was made. ("I'm sorry but I could not find any markings on where it was made.")

Four.cycle, I'd say that's exactly what it is, it has the part# of that set written on top of the case.

I'm just the messenger - I am not making any guarantees here.
I am inclined to think, like in so many other cases I have seen, that this is a case where the seller has absolutely no clue what it is.

Well, the ratchet and breaker bar are marked Hardy Tools with a logo. Each socket is stamped with the size only. And the whole set appears completely unused. There isn’t even a sign of a mark where the retention ball entered any of the sockets.

I added the index card for the photo to help with the white balance.
