I did a search on GJ but didn’t find a discussion on this vise
But here is what I got for $16. I took it apart and put some grease on the screw and contact areas.
I know there are tiny vises like these but the jaw on this rotates.
I purchased the exact same blue swivel vise from Harbor Freight about four months ago, and have not had good luck with it. When I attempted to use it for the second time about two weeks ago, the lower clamping arm of the casting broke off when I was attaching it to the very same portable welding table as shown in your picture.
Sadly, this vise wasn't even able to withstand a normal amount of torque from simple and conventional hand-tightening. I couldn't return it for a replacement, because it was two weeks past Harbor Freight's ninety-day return policy when it broke.
In order to make it usable, I ground down the remainder of the clamping arm in order to make it flush with the bottom of the lower swivel base. (Now it can be screw-mounted most anywhere) This wasn't an optimum solution for me however, because I already have a stationary bench-mounted vise that I use for most things. This little swivel vise was purchased for its features and ease of portability between various locations, the latter of which is now compromised. That being said, I got the thing for $14.99 with a 25% off coupon, so I might take a chance on buying another one...
