^^ How well does it run, and does a 5amp battery last 20 minutes or so???? I am temping to get one also!

I love mine, I normally use the 9amp for everything, 15-20 minutes, quarter acre then use the blower with the same bat. rarely gets below 75%. Ive used a few 5amps and they would do the job as well no issues for my yard.

My only issue is the guard and the power of the thing. Its mean as hell and will throw rocks dirt and everything at you. I rarely mow without getting a nice lump/****** shins. Definitely on par with gas. Far more powerful than any electric I used in the past, battery or wired.

Is the M12 multitool worth it? I feel like it is something that would benefit from being 18V.

Theyve got the string trimmer on sale for their special buy of the day

Ended up getting the quik-lock version with the hedge trimmer for $130 more. Don't need the chainsaw attachment until the zombie apocalypse, but figured I needed the hedge trimmer anyways.

YouTube vid reviews seemed to show that doing small bushes with the attachment wasn't as awkward as I thought, and made my decision away from separate hand-held hedge trimmer. Pricing for tool-only was $169 for hand-held and $164 for the attachment. Pricing was very $30 difference between the trimmer with quik-lock and without.

I think 12v multi-tools eat thru batteries. The 12v requires an Allen key to change blades, where as the 18v is tool free. I haven't had my hands on the 12v in a long time, but between the 2 connection types, the 18v will do a better job on transferring energy to the blade & no chance of the blade loosening while in use.

If you only use it a couple times a year, either will be fine. I just used my 18v yesterday for 2+ hours of detailed sanding, and would have not enjoyed a lower powered 12v (my hands sure would though)

Has anyone spotted any great deals on the high torque impact 2767 lately? The best I have seen is home Depot with a free 5.0 battery for $249
Thank you,

Been looking at this polisher myself. $175 is a great deal, considering the tool only price. Anyone had any experience using it? The reviews look good.

I like it, but I this point I would wait for the die grinder to come out.

I love mine, I use it way more than I thought I ever would. They sell a kit that has 130 various sanding disks on Amazon that are pretty good too

Just so people know, this is the old first gen version.

Didn't know there were any versions. The 2725-2x model number on the Milwaukee site lists it as a current model, with the -20 being tool only, -21 as the kit that includes battery and charger.

I think you might be referring to the one with the Quik-Loc changing system, model 2825, thinking it was a different generation. Should be the same motor, same bump feed head, only a slightly different guard shielding.

The new guard looks like it works a lot better. I have the old trimmer and the guard doesn't deflect enough but other than that it works great.

Thanks for the feedback fellas! Looks to be a very versatile tool! Polishing, grinding and touch of sanding.

No, they changed the head of the Gen1 trimmer at some point, but made no announcement. The v2 Gen1 has a much easier to load head than the first version. The head on the later Gen1s is the same as the head on the Gen2 Quik-Lok.

yeah, this bit me last year. got a v1 gen 1 and it's a huge pain. I found that they even updated the PDF manual and online parts breakdown in secret, the manual for mine is harder to find

M12 3.0 compact 2-pack just got marked down to $80, was $90 last week. Couldn't find any near me though. If they get to $70, that's the cost of one by iteself.

Tuesday night I noticed this was down to $70 at my local store. Unfortunately they and the other 3 local stores were all out of the promo m12 starter pack so it had to be my consolation prize.

For those wondering about the string trimmer, it has plenty of power. I'm happy I have it and don't have to deal with a 2-cycle engine.

Anyone else try the M12 HEX screwdriver? I bought the combo, with the 42 piece drill bit set. Most of the negative reviews were due to the extra bits not being included. Mine were there, however:

- my screwdriver was not in a bag, like the flashlight and one of the batteries, an like every other M12 tool I've ever bought

- the one battery was in a bag, as expected. The other was in the screwdriver

- the charger cord appeared to have been unraveled and tied back up.

So, one can conclude that this screwdriver was open, if not used. It didn't show any signs of actual use, but some of the negative reviews were based on the fact that customers felt they were sent a pre-owned screwdriver. The black grips and other parts of that texture shows...not sure how to describe it. When you rub it, the grip just turns greyish. It doesn't seem like there's anything on it, etc. This kit was not expensive, $99 for all of it. But it was for my wife and I'd like there to have a decent experience.

Anyone else received something similar? Not sure I want the hassle of returning it, waiting for another, etc.

I bought mine last year and it has not been like that at all. It's about a year old now and the grip does not turn grayish. I know the grip issue is only cosmetic, but I would return it and get a different one.

I picked that deal up while it was on sale over the 4th. I know I've seen the bare gun cheaper by maybe $20-30 on JDTco., but a "free" 5 amp battery is never a bad deal.

Plus, I had a $15 off if I spent at least $100 and used my HD credit card. It's a no-brainer since I always pay off the card

I've been wanting this gun for a while to keep in the car/truck; especially for trips and while towing.

Thanks Moose, I actually broke down and bought it at HD. I recently got married and she gets a discount for being in the reserves - so an extra 10% off was nice too!

I bought an inflator, at Home Depot, in store, for 44$ (plus tax).

I purchased this deal:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/309029813

and returned the battery/charger/bag portion.

right there on the receipt was printed that the BCB return value was 56$, and the inflator return value was 44$. so I looped outside, put the inflator in the truck, and went back in and returned the BCB package.

"anything wrong with it?"

"nope, just dont want it."

no problems.

1) if Home Depot didn't want you to be able to do this, they would not print, on the receipt, the separate return values. they would print something to the effect that both items must be returned together.

2) it is not clear that this works in the "order online, deliver to store" world, since it does not appear discounted at all when you add the individual items to your cart, and when you add the deal, it just lists the deal price, not the individual prices with the discount taken out at the bottom.

3) since I assume nothing, I use the self checkout for things like this. after you scan both items, and dismiss the "purchase a warranty" popup, the screen lists both items, with the prorated return under each item, then lists the cost of the "free item" as an "event promo" for, in this case, -79.00

there is signage and display stands in store advertising this, and displaying the BCB and the items that are available free along with it (there are several, including the stapler and two or three other M12 items.)

I will say that the program appears popular. the closest HD was out of the BCB packs (although they had both of the M18 battery/charger packs for those deals). the next closest only has one M12 BCB, and the inflators were gone from the display, although they had plenty in the compressor section (not in the Milwaukee display at all, sort of like how the nailers are not there either, but are over in the nailers aisle).

and now they still have one for the next person to take advantage of the special.

you are welcome.

This is usually one of the best ways to get tools cheaper, including DeWalt, Makita, Ryobi or any other promo you get the "freebie" with.

1) I'm surprised they havent changed to that myself. I know at least for a while, if you bought back part of a bundle deal at BestBuy, the return would figure in what the price of the remaining items at original pricing. It's also a legal thing, if they were to sell the item for $0, you would be able to return the other item at full price.

2) online works online if you have to add the items separately, but it will also show you a pro-rated amount you pay for each if that is how that particular promo works. Otherwise bundles can't be separated online

3) nothing to worry about having someone scan it for you. You will just get the mandatory "Is it on a Home Depot card?" line during purchase. Only time to make sure to use SCO is for penny items.

Unless you get a new person up at customer service, they are all pretty much aware why you are returning. The new ones will also claim you need to return both to get all your money back, until they try after you ask to give a go for poops & giggles.

I like to use the self check out for these purchases on the off chance that the terms are going to change, and I want to take a look at what is happening before I commit. it is harder to see what I going on at a regular checkout, and if it isn't going to work, I dont want to have to go to the trouble of returning it.

sometimes these bundles appear online, but there is no signage in the store. I have found that sometimes (often enough that I keep trying) putting the single items through the scanner generates the online deal, with the proportional return values. although often they just ring up as single items with no discount.

last time that happened, the person at the SCO asked if they could help. when I showed them the online deal on my phone, they told me they couldn't adjust the prices, and I should just order it online for store delivery. I told them I was there now, and if they wouldn't match their own price, I would just put the stuff back.

they were apologetic and offered to just take the stuff and have someone put it back later. I thanked them, and told them I understood it was not their decision, but I didn't understand why the store didnt match their own online prices, especially when I ordered something online for store pickup, they filled often filled it out of store stock, so the whole "different systems' argument was sort of bogus. they agreed. . . . . .

anyway, more than you wanted to know, I suppose.

I’ve had decent luck getting things split online with Ryobi. But usually the Milwaukee stuff is a special combo sku so it has to be done in store. Which ***** if they don’t have the stuff in stock.

does anyone know the max return value for the others items on the home depot m12 deal right now with the two batteries. I ended up getting the stapler for 50 and was thinking about going for the air pump and maybe the job light.

Thanks.

Job light is like $43, which would be the same as the inflator, but I price matched the inflator to international tool at $55 (+10% beat) bringing it down to ~$33. Ended up getting two, one with the warranty.
