Here are some photos of my Hazet 916 1/2 drive ratchet. First, the outside of the ratchet:

If I remember correctly that is a 1950s Herbrand design. How it ended up on a Hazet branded ratchet is a mystery.

Yup, looks like Herbrand to me. I have that ratchet exactly in Herbrand. I can't open it to check as the screws have been peened. I'm not going to break it.This tells me that the ratchet is from at least the early 1940's with FOD's at the factory to win the war effort.

I have two of these ratchets but they both have an additional spring and a small detent ball bearing which locks it in position when going from clockwise to anti clockwise rotation
