I would first like to say that all the changes I made to my 24x24 attached shop are inspired by stuff I see on this site. I have lots more to do but had some time to kill today so I figured I would load what I've done so far...

Edged entries with 1 x 1/8 aluminum strips. Epoxied and screws to the floor and they are down tight. Getting ready for VCT and epoxy clear...

If you are considering a VCT floor think hard, its a lot of work to lay it. I bought black and sandstone checks from Lowes. Used 4 tiles per square so the floor wasnt so busy. Used Armstrong VCT and Armstrong adhesive. Followed directions to a tee. I rented the 100 pound floor roller from Home Depot. Rolling it out is a must!!

Rented a floor polisher/sander from Home Depot. Used 80 grit to scuff the VCT for clear. This was a pain as the black from the tiles kept scuffing the sandstone tiles. I ended up going over the entire floor with a palm sander and 80 grit to get it right. Lots of work.........

Looks great - nice work!

What's that I see in garage050.jpg? Real or replica? Just a guess from the taillights - is it a Superformance?

Thanks, the Cobra is a mid 80's Contemporary Cobra. Bought my house 3 years ago and was mowing my yard when I saw it in my neighbors garage sitting unfinished. He gave me a deal I couldn't refuse....

I stole the soffit idea from XcYZ's garage. That garage is sick!! His shop was truly what inspired me to do mine up. The soffit cabinets are 24" deep and 24" high. Built with 2x6's lagged into the walls and ceiling joist's. I bought a cheap harbor freight router and did channels in 2x4's for the guides that the doors slide in. Used 1/4 inch plywood sheets for the doors and they work great.

XcYZ's garage is my inspiration too! I have pictures of his garage printed out right here at my desk!

I love that floor and the under cabinet lighting. beautiful work!

Jams4j Great job on the garage, also have a Contemporary Cobra back with silver stripes. Purchased it in a sad state of repair ten years ago in Georgia. I have been trying to figure out the year of manufacture from the vin number with no luck. Do you have any clues?

I'll check some paperwork I have. I got the build spec sheet and original pamplets and other misc paperwork with my car so I might be able to help. Mines titled as a 1965 as well, I assume you dont have a title?

Check out this link for lots of info on Cobras. I bet you will get an answer here.

Thanks for replying, Yes I do have a title but it is creative thanks to the DMV in my state. The original had it listed as an original Cobra (1965) I added to my title CCX however the stamping on the frame member just gives the actual vin number. The car started life in Florida (I contacted the original owner who was not at all co-operative) and was traded in Cleveland Georgia for a pick up truck.
The car did not run properly and was in terrible shape. I am still making adjustments and changes every winter--under one condition-it must be on the road for summer. Any help on identifying the actual year would help.
