After perusing the sale flyer that starts tomorrow, I was considering starting a thread like this, but was going to post in the Pass/Fail thread.

This one seem quite a bit better than normal. I like the idea of the Titan 1/4 drive universals, I'm going to check them out.

http://www.princessauto.com/pal/Sockets/12-pc-1-4-in-dr-Metric-Universal-Joint-Socket-Set/8525602.p

Also they have some ProPoint branded toolboxes. Hopefully they're better quality than the normal toolboxes they've had.

Check out the whole flyer at:

When I was living in Newfoundland, it was just a 40 minute trip to the PA in St John's. Since moving to rural Nova Scotia, the two closest PAs involve either a 3 hour drive to the Dartmouth store, or an hour drive and a ferry trip across the Bay of Fundy to the store in Saint John, NB. As a result, I don't often get the opportunity to just go in and browse, so their sale flyers and online web site are all I've got. This thread should prove useful.

I'm pretty much in the same situation....4.5hr drive to dartmouth.....So i usually put in a decent order online when they offer free shipping for whatever holiday/event that's going on at the time. Signing up for email notifications of sales and promotions helps let ya know about the free shipping events. If i need something, or the sales are really good...i'll order anyways as they're shipping isn't too bad on smaller items.

I'm the opposite. PA is a 5 minute walk from my work, very dangerous.

I ordered the SAE and Metric flex sockets on line. I called the local store the night before and they only had 5 sets of each in stock. The delivery by courier is less than $7.

My package arrived by Purolator today - impressed I ordered them on the 3rd and they arrived on the 5th and courier cost was less than the Canada Post parcel cost.

I am also very pleased with the sockets

I would say so. Have both the 1/4 and 3/8 and they seem fine.

Didn't want to spend big money on torque Wrenches especially 1/4 and 3/8 cause I dont use them much

Anyone know if the powerfist torque wrenches are any good, I saw them on sale?!?!

Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

I have the 1/2" click style - works great. I can say that I've tested them against my bar-type and they are right on.

Even paying for the shipping, it's still a lot less than the tankful of Premium the Land Rover would go through for a round trip.

You've got to be somewhere in the Glace Bay or North Sydney area. Down my way, Yarmouth is about as far as you can be from Dartmouth, and it's only about 3.25 hours via either 101 or 103.

1/4 and 3/8 Titan u-joint sockets. It's funny, the 1/4 metric (5.5-15mm) are about 30$. The snap on flyer this month has set with same sizes for $480

Also available is the Titan 7 piece SAE 1/4" drive flex socket set @ $20. The 12 piece metric 1/4" drive flex socket set is $30.

Both come with an aluminum storage rack. Made in Taiwan.

I have a number of Titan brand tools in my box 'o tricks. I've been very happy with them.

Cheers,

Rob

Those rails looks nice!

I picked up both 1/4 drive sets too. The metric one never made it home to the "photo booth" but the SAE one did. The rails are nice because the disks at the base of the clips that hold the socket allow you to turn the sockets so they can all be oriented the same. However, the sizes on the sockets themselves are very small!

I had a look at the Pro Point toolboxes too. The 56" one was beside a 42" box that was branded International. They looked identical in design and construction, but both felt flimsy to me, although even though it was larger, the Pro Point felt noticeably better. Maybe the steel is thicker on it?
It was nowhere near the solidity of my Beach made Craftsman box from the early '90s, let alone my KRA 4107.

Industrial degreaser on sale for $10

Bought a jug yesterday, cleaned up garage floor really well, few drops on problem areas and power wash with warm water, repeated a few times until I was satisfied.

A couple items to knock off my list tomorrow...

http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/Carts-And-Benches/440-lb-Heavy-Duty-Work-Bench/8338220.p

I really needed a tear down table.

http://www.princessauto.com/pal/Moving-Equipment/550-lb-Barrel-Dolly-with-Handle/8534802.p

This barrel dolly couldn't even be made for double the price of 35 bucks. This will be for my new oil change set up to pull under the hoist.

http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/Marine/Folding-Boat-Seat/8235269.p

Folding Boat Seat to mod my ****** seat creeper. This seat is very solid for the 35 bucks.

I bought something the other day, and they gave me a COUPON for $15 or 20 dollars off on a purchase in July on a purchase of $75 or more.

So I am trying to think of stuff that never goes on sale and using the coupon.
