Saw this today. Montezuma
Could not find a price for the top chest.
Quality seemed OK. Better than the International or ProPoint boxes they also hawk.
Dual ball bearing slides the big drawers. Not a fan of the layout, but meh. Still happy to see a decent quality box. I think for the price point thats gotta be the best deal going.
Wonder what it looks like with no protective film on it, all SS.
Giving Canadian Tire a run for the money at that price point thats forsure.

Princess Auto deals/Dry Air On Sale

http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en//8055757.p

Air Dryer...#8055757 On sale from 99.99 to 39.99 Until 8/31/2014

The 60.00 Dollars off let me be selfish and buy 1 more than I was going to.
So that's make 3 on the way 2 for my QT-5 and 1 for my Craftsman 20 gallon 2 H.P.
Here are some figures I worked out before I ordered. I just wasn't sure what the shipping was going to be for Canada Post. Please don't judge me on my math...Thanks.

Order 1 39.99 + 36.00 Shipping = 75.99
Order 2 79.98 + 36.00 Shipping = 115.98
Order 3 119.97+47.00 Shipping = 161.62
Order 4 159.96+64.00 Shipping = 223.96

Just so you know. If you make an order and have it shipped Purolator your order will be a few dollars more.

I was Thinking of ordering a fourth air dryer but my compressor payment is due. JK

I ordered 3 and the total was 161.62

I'm very pleased that GJ showed me the way to Princess Auto. For what's out there for air dryers and what they want for them is just ridiculous.

I'm not sure if my link works but it's there to copy anyway.

That's it for now. Keep your air dry.

I'm going to be road tripping to the states for a week and could pick one up for you if you like?

Shipping from Thunder Bay, Ontario to Victoria via Canada Post couldn't be that expensive.

I plan on hitting up a few Harbor Freight's and Lowes on our trip anyway.

That reminds me, I need to dig up some HF coupons. Car is loaded up and we're leaving on our trip in a few hours!

Thank You for responding. I guess hind site doesn't do me any good this time but there is always next time. Thank you for sharing your build and build plans. Great job on your part. It looked like a fun project to do.

I'm into rebuilding an older 960 blast cabinet from TP Tools, Putting a B&M cooler on my Quincy Compressor and I'm thinking of running steel air lines instead of copper. I have seen some very Impressive copper set ups but I just can't do it at this time. The only thing I might have trouble with is wiring a 230W2E250-HJ32-01 fan parallel. Then I can get back to restoring my old garden tractor thru the winter. It looks like I have a lot of fun ahead of me. I know you didn't ask but Thanks for listening to me ramble. I couldn't help myself.

PA are assholes! None in stock and none available online.

There was something on sale and it sold out in Calgary South. I had somebody check Calgary North stock online and they were out. They were in stock, I think in Red Deer and they stock transferred them to Calgary for me at no charge.

I also tried to get some special buy stuff. They were sold out and I had them check Calgary north and they were out also. There was some in Vancouver warehouse / import distribution center and they ordered some and put 4 on hold for me in the store.

There is Royal service.

I am kind of annoyed with PA about their warranty.

It's too good.

I have been at the counter when several different people have returned GARBAGE - mis-used, abused tools. They refunded the full amount.

If I look back 10 years ago Powerfist stuff was excellent value. Recently they seemed to have gone up relatively in price, because I believe the returns of thrashed tools. I have only returned one thing to PA and it was a real failure under normal use. I have had several other that I did not return because I had intentionally abused them.

I wish they would get rid of warranty on Powerfist. If you want a warranty buy ProPoint which are good quality tools.

I would say that warranty issues are why PA has no universal/wobble impact sockets in their inventory

Re: Princess Auto deals/Dry Air On Sale

Hi Everyone, in my last post I had mentioned that I was going to buy the Air Dryer...#8055757 on sale From PA. Well, I did order 3 of them on 8/9/2014 and they arrived today 8/16/2014. I wasn't sure on how long they would take to ship from Canada but it worked out great. I thought that they would be Yellow but they turned out to be blue. That's ok they match my Quincy QT-5.

I've been looking through Show Off Your Compressor a lot lately and I have noticed that some guys have mounted them right next to or very near there compressor. I would like to share that the directions stat to mount the dryer at least 25 feet from your compressor to prevent contamination but what do I know. I'm just starting to learn from all of you about dryers and coolers.

Before you ask for pictures of the Blue dryer. I have never posted a picture in a forum before but you will be happy to know that I'm not all the way stupid.

Price for 3 Dyers from PA to MA. was 161.62

Keep your air dry,
Buddy Boy
