Just buy all the HF boxes already, use them everyday for the next 10-20 years and then post an update on quality and durability. There are like 10 posts a week about HF tool boxes. Yes they are inexpensive, yes they are less $ than a snap on. They are a reasonable value for the $ spent up front no one has had one for 50 years to find out. It's most likely a disposable tool box because half the arguments are if something is wrong you can just buy a new one and still be ahead money wise over a truck box. It's simple math, it's a large width box for a cheap amount of money made by cheap labor and no labor or safety laws.

Even I am tired of arguing about this and I enjoy it.

Kaotik-you will like the box. If you have a little extra cash get the 72" while they are still around. The 56" with the top will give you tons of space, but at the cost of the two I would get the bigger 72". I do wish the 56" had a full length top drawer. I have a 44" and 56" I need to get rid of before I can get the 72". I just want one box instead of two.

Got the 56 top box yesterday. Mine got some forklift damage in the back, really just a scuff on the paint, so I got it for $320. It is not as nice as the bottom box. I bought both of them from the same store within 2 weeks of each other, they both have the same badging, trim, paint color and finish but there is just something about the top box that feels different. The drawers do not have the same latches. From any distance further than 5 feet away they look identical and are an impressively large and smart looking rollcab combo. I used a steel 6 inch Snappy pocket ruler to remove my badges and some PB on a rag to remove the rest of the adhesive. These boxes are the best thing to happen at Harbor Freight in a long, long time. It is a nearly perfect match to the HF 5-drawer rollcart. The other boxes in the shop are all rollcab Matco, Mac, and Snappy and this thing looks right at home. It is a house for my tools. I use my tools to earn my living. I own all my tools outright. I have a ton of tools, literally.

Why does it look like there's a gap in between the two boxes

For whatever reason that's just how its made. My only complaint about it is the top box just sits on the bottom. Most boxes the top is slightly smaller to fit inside a lip.

So it actually sits on the lip instead of inside the lip like a normal stack would that would drive me nuts lol I have a 56 bottom and was thinkin bout a top but after seeing that I think I'm gonna get two tall lockers instead and build a hutch

Not the best picture, but here is mine:

I'm very happy with this setup. It has all the room I need and it's setup perfect for my needs. I paid $699 for the bottom box and $399 for the top box, so overall a very good deal!!

Yup. Thought it'd drive me nuts but it really don't. But if you move it at all, the top box will move out if square of the bottom box.

Also to let you know iirc the lockers will looks a little off because I think they are one or two shades darker read.

Back to the top box. Some say it feels different and isn't the quality the bottom box is. For me the only difference I feel is the top box the drawers don't slide as nice. But that's only because the too box is basically brand new, where as the bottom box is almost two years old. It just needs broke in more.

Says the guy who wastes our time with troll threads about how he doesn't think a SO box is worth the price, but won't just go out and buy the HF one.

Waste your time???? Then if you're SO busy then why are you on a forum complaining bout somebody that's looking for advice on some things.... After all I thought that's what these forums was about....

There's so many things wrong with that post its not funny. You're being the drama queen. If he is skipping over your post, that is weeding out your ****. As stated, if your really looking for advice, plenty of threads already done that gives advice. Plus you already have two other threads about tools boxes.

You also talk about lazy *** people who have nothing better to do but be on here all day. Well, seems you've been on here just about all day and have been the play one by not searching.
