Already have facom 467 8-19mm, But the price is so good on the stahlwille I cant resist it:( please can someone tell me more about them? Facom 467 is very smooth and very low swing arc! Handsome to:) So give me a couple of reason to buy the set!? How is the swing arc on stahlwille? I dont care that it say 5 degree, I want to know how much the play is before the first click? Facom is very low, the best I have tried anyway! That direction button on the side?? Better than regular lever or is it worse? Maybe an nice person would upload pics=) Please help me to get my conscience clean!

I think they are made by Kabo in Taiwan.

Only the Gedore 7R and 7UR are 100% German made.

The lowest swing arc is the SK X-frame @ only 1.7 degrees

I'm happy with my Facoms and Gedore 7UR although the x-frame mech is sure to be stronger

Maico yes i know about all the "low swing arc wrenches" xframe, 120xp etc! My question is if they have more or less swing arc than facom! Only 2 choices, stahlwille or My facom!

How good a deal? The left n right button reminds me of my early geartech things that i had years ago, 13mm didnt last a year soon followed by the 10mm then the 17mm. After that the hole set ended up in a skip. My full set of facoms 6 to 32 prob cost me £300 €360 or there abouts

Maico posted the link! 148 euro! I am very satisfied with my 467, but as I sad, price is right and I have 2 big sets with openbox 13 and 14 stahlwille combination wrenches so the ratcheting wrenches is a weird dream to put next to my other stahlwille's:) Otherwise I am more than happy with my Facom's! Most likely the open ratch 17 is not that good as I think! But a dream is a dream:)
Edit: And my facom set skipping 9mm and 15mm! Last time I used them the 15mm was very popular:( Pretty stupid size to skip...hate sets with skips.

Nothing wrong with Kabo quality. The head of the nut would likely of sheared off before the 16mm mech failed at 290 ft lb / 393 Nm

Do any of these sets talked about have a mod. Open end/ flank drive plus/ anti slip asd?

Btw I love offset ratcheting reversible wrenches. They are so slim, fit anywhere, easy to handle and lightweight. They are my favorite and most used item in my toolbox. They save quite a bit of time and energy vs. Non ratcheting wrenches. They are almost as fast as my cordless impact :)

BK13 and Colin39 Thank you so much=) I remember it was a couple of people here on GJ that bought a stahlwille open ratch 17 set! Come on guys, perhaps a video would be like the best christmas ever to me:) Atleast a close up picture! Note: if you are afraid to upload a video and hear your own voice(I am), that is not important, only the wrenches is:)

I did a search on google images and couldn't find a single hi-res close up photo of these Stahlwille open ratches. They seem to be as rare as hens teeth or the real Hitler diaries.

I wonder, for instances, if they are made of the same metal as the German made tools ?

Here is a metal analysis of a **** wrench

The finish look like it yes, but with a close up pic a stahlwille nerd would recognize the steel:) I hope its German metal, but honestly I dont think so.

ImageUploadedByTapatalk1430856160.292502.jpg This is a 10mm Am-tech flex head ratcheting wrench! After your bad steel movie I was compelled to trash a china(maybe taiwan) wrench! All the other brands I have just flexing! Take a good look att the open end! The finish turn in to copper with your nails[emoji23]. All good wrenches spreading the jaw, but this one has hrc 100 it feels like because it just broke of and goes away in bullet speed and wasnt spreading at all.

These Taiwanese are clever fellows. The handle is per Stahlwille pattern. Easy enough for the CAD designs to be sent over. The chrome plating looks like the like the rest of the Stahlwille range too.

Another Taiwanese company seems to be able to get the Hazet look for the ratcheting wrenches they supply to Hazet. The problem is the finish is almost to perfect for German manufacture !

Did these wet your appetite more? ;)

Yes sir it does:) The finish seems to be openbox quality! But the open end doesnt look like german so most likely as someone ask earlier if they send wrenches to Taiwan to finish the product with the ratchet mechanism! I think the complete wrench is made in Taiwan! Doesnt bother me if they are stahlwille quality:) Have you tested the arc swing? Like every other normal ratcheting mechanism or is it very little play like facom etc?

Since 5 years ago, my preference for ratcheting wrenches have been for the Kabo type. I've been using my Blackhawk, Crescent, KTC, and EZ-red branded versions for some years without any issues. They are all made by Kabo.

Amongst those brands, the Crescent and EZ-red versions have the push-button reversible, just like the Open Ratch. They have a firm ratcheting action (neither too stiff or too soft of a spring rate). Because they are of the reversible type, they inherently have a bit of play/backlash. That said, I find that they have less play than the more common Lea Way type reversible ratcheting wrenches (ie. Gearwrench).

I use the EZ-red ones most and they are XL length, flex head reversibles, in a spline drive, and if I recall correctly are 90-tooth. One can exert a lot of torque with that extra long length, but they haven't skipped a beat. Best $120 I've spent on a set of ratcheting wrenches.

The Facom reversible combination wrenches are the Hi-Five type. They provide OEM services for a lot of tool brands around the world, including anything under the Stanley/B&D empire (Facom, Britool, USAG, Pastorino, Sidchrome, MAC, Proto, Blackhawk). I have a Blackhawk reversible made by Hi-Five and I'd have to say it does have a very smooth mechanism.

Hi-Five and Kabo--arguably the best in the business for ratcheting wrenches.

Thanks you for the great answer:) The regular lever has switch direction involuntarily sometimes for me, but it feels like kabo style does it more often? I think I order them anyway, I have all their other wrenches so why not. 12 pc Wurth zebra reversible ratcheting combo wrenches set with SO dual 80 internals is on sale:) Feel so stupid if I buy another set with ratchet wrenches when I already have several sets.
