I use a large rubbermaid food storage container with some paper shop towels on the bottom. Even the "no leak" grease guns leak, and this contains it.

Top off an old washing machine which has a 1" lip, with a piece of cardboard on the bottom. Works well, and the lip will contain anything the cardboard doesn't soak up.

I hang my from the overhead door track. I never had a problem a grease gun leaking.

I just bought a plastic tub with lid to my grease guns and funnels. They are a pain because of the leaking grease, so this has to be better than just hanging there leaking.

X2. I have one for my synthetic grease gun and one for my petroleum grease gun. You have to dump and clean the catch cup at the bottom once in a while, but it beats having it drip all over.

I just keep mine in a blue shelf bin with an absorbent pad in the bottom. I don't think I've ever changed the absorbent pad.

I like those home-made ones. Mine only leak when I keep mine in an oil drain pan but they don't seem to leak there. If I use one and leave it on a counter or on the floor, it will leak all of the oil that it's been saving up all those weeks while it's been in the pan.
I chuckled.....!

I use one of these I purchased online here to store on the wall above my work bench. Usually just keep a little plastic lid or disposable towel underneath when I do see the (very) occasional leak.

I store on top of my drain pans or inside a bucket. For travel I wrap one in plastic grocery bags and carry inside a small cardboard box...with wheel bearings and boat trailer hubs.
