Remember this from a year ago, looks like they are doing it again. Seems to net some pretty good deals on impacts among other things.

I do not know if it is okay to post a link. I did not know how to embed the flyer.

Wow. $100 gift card on a $155 socket set?

Is there something I'm missing, how is this so cheap? Do you have to buy two or something? How can I say no?

Sunex makes a real decent tool for the price.I bought some stuff from Summit to try out. I was pleasantly surprised.

I believe that Sunnex made the Napa tool cart a few years back. It was a steal for $350.

Exactly what I am thinking. I had actually passed over on this earlier this morning while I was looking at one of their tool carts, didn't even notice the impact sockets at the bottom. :wtf:
Glad my curiosity got the best of me and had to come back to this thread to see whateveryone was talking about.

Was originally going to buy the large 9pc Grey impact sockes from aap with the 40/50.
Now I get all the big sizes with the smaller ones and extensions for less than just 9 sockets.

Going to get the full metric and fractional sets

FYI, the fine print says purchases must be between 7/1 and 9/30, so this isn't active until tomorrow.

Don't follow, what is that gift card for? AFAIK you can't buy anything on the Sunex site?

EDIT: NVM, it's a Visa gift card. Sweet.

It's probably obvious but I'm missing it. Where does it say it's a Visa GC?

Best place to buy Sunex?

Check tooldiscounters.com also. I checked the 3580 set on tooltopia and they are out of stock. TD charges shipping but the price is usually close to Amazon with free shipping if not better.

Wow! That's pretty crazy.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a set of 3/8 metric swivel impacts.

Let's do the math for the 3580 set here:

$205.50 base price minus $100 (rebate), minus the $70.00 I would have spent on the swivels anyways, means that I'm getting a set of SAE swivels, shallows, deeps, and metric shallows and deeps for only $35.50. Sounds pretty good to me.

I bet there will be a change, those socket sets that are under the $100 rebate are supposed to be under the $50 one, that would make more sense. I am going to call them tomorrow. I also want to confirm what the "gift card" is. They say you can get 5 of them, so that is a great thing.

Just googled last year's thread on this deal, and people say you get a GC.

I'm curious about this as well but I have already saved the pdf with them under the $100 rebate. I plan to buy a few sets. I'm just not positive if ebay sales will count since they need an "original receipt". What receipt would I give them? Paypal?

I dunno man. Two of the socket sets are 1/2" drive and the 3/8" set is an 80-piecer. It'll be interesting to hear what they tell you, but to be honest, I hope you're wrong!!!

BTW, the master metric 1/2" set is cheaper at Amazon, whereas the SAE set is cheaper at Tooltopia, both around $150. Net after the gift cards is around $100, which is a damn good deal for almost 90 sockets and extensions.

The 80 pieces 3/8" master set is $207.55 with free shipping at Fox Run Tools, lowest price thus far.

In the fine print on the rebate form it states it cannot be combined with any other rebate or promotion, does that mean it is only applicable if you buy the set for list price.

For example the list price on this is 419 but it can be purchased for 190. Do they count that discount as a rebate/promotion or is 190 the "regular" price and they just inflate the list to 400+ to make you think you are buying $400 sockets.

Son of a biscuit. About a month ago I purchased the master 1/4" and 3/8" sets along with shallow 1/2" and a bunch of extensions/adapters. I feel that I paid a good price for essentially every impact socket I will ever need, but darn.

Fwiw, I never got my $25 gc last year. Forgot about it and misplaced the paperwork, but it makes me leary this year.

Hmm.

Are we limited to their authorized distributors maybe? The rebate form doesn't say so though.

Dang those 1/2" impact sets are tempting. I have the master craftsman US set already but these have way more sizes.

Ive been wanting the 3580 for awhile now, its 206 @ arctic tools on ebay.

Reading the fine print on the actual rebate form..looks like you can only buy from a real store or an authorized seller. See pic I took then circled the restrictions. Anyone successfully buy from ebay or similar and get the gift card before?

That's simply saying the "participant" aka you can't be a reseller or retailer.
