Don't think so. I could get a couple HD buckets and add the husky tool sleeves to them and be better off. cheaper and way more portable.

I'd need about 14 just for SAE.
No thanks It's real cool for some non-tool guy who just needs a kit and converation piece.Tighten the chain on a kids bike. Put a swing set together.
I give the guy an A+ for ingenuity. It appears well built.

Cute concept, lousy toolbox...anyone else find it annoying when builder us "Ultimate" for the mane of some POS version of something just to try to get suckers on the hook to buy it? I would actually consider it for some other storage besides my working tools, but would never buy it just for the stupid name. Call it "drum store" or something and I might buy it.

I like the idea of something that is less likely to be pilfered when in plain view.

That said, I want it to close in a way that looks like a nice, standard, rusty seam is visible instead of a perfectly painted seam.

Bending down every time to grab a wrench would get old fast. But it does look cool

Maybe put it on the bench or build a stand for it to get it up off the ground...

..but like a previous poster said, I'd need dozens of the damn things. I couldn't even fit all my hammers in just one.

55 Gallon tool box

One of the guys at work showed me this video this morning. I've never seen it before nor do I believe it's been posted here.

If it has, let me know so I can merge the threads.

Essentially, it's a 55 gallon drum with a sliding door that opens up to have a three sided lazy susan style tool board.

Not sure why I'd want to get on my hands and knees to get to my tools. Nice for a kid I suppose. It looks sharp, but I can't think of a real good use personally.

My thoughts were if you lived or had a shop in a high crime area and it might be a good way to disguise your tools in a oily 55 gallon drum. I doubt many would think twice that there are tools in it with a few used oil filters and drain pan sitting on top of it.

Re: 55 Gallon tool box

Search and me don't get along plus I'm too dumb to know how to link. It's was a month or better ago. I think it was called the Ultimate tool box.

I did a google search and didn't see anything before I posted it. I wouldn't call it the Ultimate tool box but more like hidden in plain sight tool box.

:dunno:
