Hello all,
I wanted to make a timeline thread to track the progress of our home being built and the attached garages. I did some light work to our prior garage in Maryland and this forum was a huge help in choosing the floor coating.
The new house is expected to be completed in early Sept and we've been visiting the site every week to document the progress. This is our first single family home and we're both looking forward to a fresh start in the Queen City. My goal is to address the lighting, floors, and storage.
Prior townhouse in Maryland. The garage was a relatively decent size for a townhouse at 24' wide by 26'. This pic was taken the night I finished the epoxy floor. The two days prior were spent painting the walls with a buddy.
I went with epoxy coat's package which included the UV and anti-slip additives. After three years, it did hold up fairly well but it did yellow slightly and a few places did peel up.
Beyond the flooring, I had a contractor install three sets of tube lighting and another outlet. For the storage, I went with all Gladiator products. I need to look for other pics, but this one sort of shows the main wall.
The flooring and lighting were well worth the effort and allowed me to detail inside year round.
After selling the townhouse this past February we found ourselves in the job market for our first single family home. I was set on a three car garage while my wife focused on everything else. After touring many builders we finally settled on one and were under contract a few days later.
Here is the foundation of the garages.

We were both huge fans of the courtyard driveway. I need to get proper measurements.

Thanks for reading and I am very open to feedback. We don't have any kids so the focus will be on my toys and staying organized.
