I have been searching via google for some time on this forum and recently joined. My project is a 40 x 64 x 16 pole building. The project started with the frame last July and as of yesterday it received concrete.

Things to do,
Finish insulation, which is 4'x4'x5" foam blocks. That I hope is worth the effort.
I have been watching the high bay LED thread preparing for lighting.
Trying to decide on a floor coating, leaning toward polyurea if I can swing it.
It will have a steel liner for the walls and ceiling.
Heat will be radiant tube heat fueled with propane.
20 x 40 loft.

Plenty of other details to come. Hopefully I can keep on it to keep this thread progressing.

I haven't moved as fast as I had hoped. I have more done but not much that is photo worthy other than the floor that I just completed this past week.

I used Legacy Industrial densifier and stainguard.

Nice build going on, I'm trying to decide on my floors and came across yours. Looks like you burnished the HD40, I think that is the route I'm going it gives the protection from spills but let's you weld and work on it plus gives a bit of shine. Also it is one of the lower cost alternatives.
Looking at your ceiling looks like scissor trusses then you framed up joists on 4 foot centers? What is your plan for that? Going to cover with metal?

Yes planning to do a complete steel liner on the interior. The framing in between the trusses is because I plan to run the steel panels parallel with the trusses.

Mez is 20 x 35.
All of my tools will go under the mez. I plan on it being my fabrication area. Under the mez is also a bathroom and a "kitchen" for my meat processing equipment on the left side in the picture.

I am finally starting to finish the inside of the building. So much for moving quickly over the last year.

Here are some pictures of how I am doing my lights under the mez. It is an 8' ceiling and I did not want the lights to stick down any lower than they had to. They go in and out just like a suspended ceiling light but this will all be covered in a white steel liner.

Good looking shop with some real nice space. I will be doing something similar for light fixtures in my shop and was planning to fabricate the pieces. Mind if I ask where you found the parts for your housings?

The housings that hold the led lights? They are made from z-trim or wainscot trim. I just cut them and bent it into a square and riveted the corners. Then I put J-channel around the perimeter.

A portion of the interior liner is installed. A lot more to go.

This thread could probably be named " the slowest shop build ", but none less I am making more progress. It feels like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel at least.

A few pictures of the interior of the shop 90% done. I need to trim around the windows yet.
The red and white "T" shaped tools are what I made to put up the ceiling. They were a lifesaver.

I really like your building the size is just right. Good call on the T shaped tools. I'll definitely steel that idea when it comes to doing steel ceilings.
