Here’s a bottle jack that was sitting in our basement since we moved in. I was just about to trash it—literally put it next to the garbage can—when I had a change of heart. So I took a closer look then cleaned it up. I painted it black but I’m not really happy with the way it came out. I might strip it again then start over.

Here’s another picture with the Parker vise I just restored. I just repainted it but the gloss hides the stamped letters too much. Would a satin or flat color mitigate that?

I bought an AUSCO D-7400 floor jack that needs to be restored.

I listed this in the general tool forum as well- bought this transmission jack today for $90. I don’t know anything about it but it is very heavy duty - and the casters have zerk fittings. not hydraulic and has an AUSCO sticker. Does anyone know if it’s legit and model number.
