Didn't see a place to do a intro. But, it's really about my shop.

So, Here it is 38' x 19'5 x 11' was a DC-10 finally gettin around to closing in the ends and pouring the concrete.

It will get CAMO paint like the others, this shop will be used to build motorized bikes.

That is awesome! How did you get the planes? And how did you actually "put" them where they are?

Thats really neat.

I think if I were you, I would hire a hot stewardess to serve me drinks and "refreshments." I heard E-tek's former maid is looking for work. Just don't let him talk you into letting him have his new maid.

This guy has some cool ideas - but he's keepin' them to himself isn't he!!! No answers on the fuselage details!!

(BTW - Philipino, HOT or not, nanny's don't do windows. They DO however, do laundry, vaccuum, clean the bathrooms, fold clothes (even my ginch even gets folded!!)....some even give back rubs!!!)

I live in Tennessee. While chewing up a wing, one day at work, I'm thinking, there has to be a easier/ quicker way to dispose of the frame. When I thought to use the planes as storage buildings and this one was big enough for a shop

Brilliant!!!

You'll learn that most of here on GJ are barely lucky enough to find a used set of worn cabinets. Now, when there's a serious deal at Lowes, HD, or HF, word spreads like wildfire. :)

I have GOT to start stalking my local airport...

That is definitely worth of a "YOU ****" award

I would not "camo" the paint on that, I'd paint it like a major airline but just put your name on it.

On the other hand, what does one have to pay to get a fuselage of a plane? I'm thinking that there is a new market for the scrap business now.

Hello everyone, thanks for the replys
got a little time to write,

I started out needing a tool shed for the tractor, and spotted a united roof at work. need to get it set on real support, instead of blocks.

Then I needed a "git away place" and used a tail section with the thick locking door. even kept the throne and sink, just added a pipe from the holding tank to the septic line. replace the ballast with house voltage ballast for the T-12 lghts, and pergo on the floor. moved in the mini fridge, tv, stero. etc.

3 years ago brought home the DC-10. time to get it done, since work is slow, wish now I had left the inside and insulation in.

now that is something different. The insulation and interior looked clean. You could have lived in the darn thing! Totally awesome.

yep, built better than a mobile home lol

Just a little tuff, gettin around corners, till we adapted a front landing gear and a semi trailer rear axle to turn the corners like a ladder truck.....:bounce:

I'll have to remember to take a pic of the shop one of my neighbors has in Idaho. He's got the nose of a DC-3 sticking out of the wall at one end.

Are you going to configure it in 2 or 3 class seating?

That is cool........

It would be even cooler if you could 'obtain' some 1st class seats and set them in.....

I am plannin on building another set of "coach rockers " seats/ coach seats with two pieces of curved sections from the outer plane skins as the rocker bottom parts.
