I'd like some input on which grinder I should restore next, and your reasons for your vote/choice.

I've got a Baldor 1/3hp that needs resto. I've never opened one up so I'll follow the master!

The block looks to be in need of love the most.
I agree! It will be a big job, and it has waited quietly for a looong time.

I have some new/used replacement parts, somewhere. :lol_hitti

I'll wait for the voting to stop or as long as I can take the suspense.

I have posted this question on OWWM forum and elsewhere, so I'll be combining the results.
:)

Thank you for reading and voting.

As of 10:30 EDST, here are the polling results tabulated from this and 2 other sites.

There's still time to vote, if you haven't already.

I am secretly hoping this guy - 1.0-HP Block - wins the polling.

Hmmm, .... I recall saying that about a Milwaukee.

Ah yes, here it is over on another forum. "I'm secretly hoping for a Milwaukee rebuild. I've never done one and they seem like sturdy guys.

Come on, get out the votes!
"
You see my problem, ..... I just can't make up my mind! :lol_hitti

Be sure to vote - I don't see your name in the results, but the 1.0-HP Block is up by 1 vote!

It's official.

The next Torqueman restore will be the Baldor 0.75-HP 'Big Red' grinder.
attachment.php

The Block 1.00-HP was 6 votes out of first place, with 14 out of 58 total votes, that is about a 10% difference.

In third place was the Milwaukee 1.00-HP, also big and red, with 12 votes, just about 4% less than 2nd place.

Well the internet has spoken. You want big grinders!!

OK, I hear you, scary as they are, I will begin tomorrow, if not sooner!

Thank you for helping me choose between some very deserving grinders!

Oh yes, Happy Easter! :)

Oh boy. I was hoping I could get back to it before someone asked.

As I began to work on it, Mrs. Torqueman began clearing out the basement. So, our 'stay put' order has had a silver-lining. For the past six weeks, we have had 7-8x the trash for our garbage pick-up!

After posting some found Craftsman and other branded vintage tools in the Classified section, I am ready to get back to working on the next restore.

I have purchased some missing parts - new tool rests, and bottom cover.

I am looking forward to getting back to it.

Thanks for asking. :)
