If you remember, last week I asked about the value of a used Snap-On box. Click here for that thread. Went back today and purchased it for $125. Now, I have to find casters for it and a new lock, and then clean it up. I might even treat it to a fresh coat of paint. Anyone know what the model of this box is, or from what year it might be from. I looked all over for a model number, but none was to be found. Is the red paint available in spray cans from Snap-On? Also, there is a rectangular slot on both the right and left side, in the mid point of the top, and I was wondering what that is for. Anyone know what the correct top box would be for this? I am hoping that if I can get a model number, that I can order the correct casters for the box. Thanks Junk...

Junk, I know that style box was still in the catalogs in the late 1980s. That one is probably a bit older, judging by the logo. I don't know what happened to all my old catalogs, but I'm still looking.

Generally, the holes in the top were for bolting a top box down. The last new Snap-On box I bought (1990 or so) had the holes, and even came with bolts for them.
