$0 Scrap 2x4 Tire Rack

I was going to buy one, but it would be at least $45 for some Chinese junk. Ended up using all scrap 2x4's, and all mis-matched used/misc screws and lag bolts. Came out pretty good I think

I can't recall, does the NEC say anything about clearance for the panel? I know for commercial applications it does.

I can remove the cover, good enough for me. I can't imagine it will ever get inspected, it already got inspected and passed when it got installed along with my solar

I just stacked the 4 original tires/steel wheels from my F150 in the corner of the garage.

I got in the habit of doing the same thing growing up. My dad was born during the depression and had parts and pieces of old stuff under the workbench. Whenever we needed to fix or make something we’d look at the stuff under the workbench to find something to make it out of.
