We had one just like that at my highschool. I wish I had grabbed it back then when they decided to junk it and replace it with a crapsman direct drive unit.. Hated that direct drive.

Who knows?
I have that same compressor. Sold through Craftsman I believe.

Bought it from a fellow who said it belonged to his Father who bought it back in '62 maybe.
It's a little champ. Runs like a charm.

Nice job.

What color paint is that? Isn't a Rustoleum type inexpensive oil based enamel is it? I have an old Sears concrete mixer I need to refinish and it was the same color as that compressor. I like the color you chose.

46 Knuck, That Speedaire looks good indeed, refreshing the compressor enables it to feel young again.

Where did you find the new belt guard? I have a similar compressor and have been looking for one.

Nice job on a great little compressor. We have had those in the family for nearly 40 years. First one over 10 years with lots of abuse. My son has the present one and its a reliable piece.
Yours is a JOB WELL DONE.
