As to Wright,if you don't need the hinge action--that is if O.K. for it to only have 90* angle you could try the thing called a "bull bar" in 3/4" drive with a good 3/4" to 1/2" adapter on it. And keep a few 3/4" drive sockets around for good luck.
Does the Wright 24" hinge handle in 1/2" drive still have the pin in the head like all of them used to have instead of the screwed in axle bolt?

I have the 24" HF breaker bar, and the thing flexes so much you swear it's gonna snap - but it never has. It still doesn't inspire much confidence, but it hasn't broken. I also have the HF 3/4" quick-release breaker bar, and it is pretty stout - I have a lot of confidence with it.

I was looking at and playing with the Craftsman 1/2" drive breaker bar at Sears, and it just looks and feels solid. I think I'll try one if they go on sale.

I broke two HF 24" breaker bars by standing on them (I weigh 220) while trying to loosen a dodge 2500 axle nut I kept one in my off road tool box and one in my home tool box. My buddy who's truck I was working on bought me a SO 24" breaker bar which now lives in my tool box but I think the HF is absolutely the best bang for buck out there hands down and will be getting another for my off road tool box.

One tip for those with the HF that complain about the flexing. If you use a cheater pipe, slide it all the way down over the standard handle. That way you are producing the turning force where it needs to be produced. Instead of adding a second moment somewhere in between.

Agree with all those that say it is the best bang for the buck.
