1/2" Corded Drill for blackfriday.

So iv done some searching on the forum but I still cant decide what model I should keep a eye on for Blackfriday.
Im looking for a 1/2" corded drill. Im going to be using it mostly attached to a HF tube notcher for building bicycles (Coping steel tubing) & odd jobs around the house. Id love to get some years out of it and not need replacing. Im just a hobbyist. I also have a old prewar Delta drill press but its easier to notch tubing with a hand drill instead of the press.

so from my searches it sounds like I should go Milwaukee over Dewalt and a drill instead of a hammer drill/drill switch. But still unsure about RPM's and E-brake.

What model would you guys pick?

I guess here are my options & depends if sales happen.

I have the $100 half inch dewalt you linked.

I like it but all I have done is cut hundreds of spot welds with it.

I have second of the two Milwaukee models you linked. I don't use it a lot, but my son-in-law is it IT, and borrows it when he needs to cut a big hole in a cabinet. I have both DeWalt and Milwaukee, but my vote goes for the Milwaukee.

well out of the two Milwaukee's it looks like the only difference is the 0300-20 has a soft grip handle and is $20 cheaper.

I'd go with the 8amp Milwaukee.

This is one of the few times I would probably pick the Dewalt. Tubing notcher means hole saws and that electronic clutch model would be nice when and if the hole saw binds. One of the reviewers complains about a soft gear in the nose, but that used to be a common problem with the Milwaukee magnum drills. It was always cheaper to scrap them, than to fix them.

I Have the Dewalt DWD210 it has plenty of torque but if i had a choice i would go with the 1/2 milwaukee magnum.

Why no hammedrill? You never know when you might need that feature.

I have the Milwaukee with the black inserts and it's an absolute beast! When that thing grabs, you better hope it rips out of your hands without breaking your wrist! I've never been impressed with DeWalt's quality. When I worked at a hardware store in college, we sent A LOT of DeWalt products back under warranty.
