Hopefully, not a hijack, but: How do torque sticks work? Are the HF versions any good and/or worth it? I'm a hobbyist.

They work by having a certain amount of "give" to them. At a set torque the stick itself with actually twist along the shank (a bit), meaning that the socket end will stay fixed and not apply any more torque to the fastener.

Mine are from Taiwan i think, i use the 120nm one every day pretty much and it works fine.

I got the 1/2 drive Earthquake XT kit for casual DYI. I probably could have made a better choice but I have no regrets. It does pack a punch and does everything I want it to from busting rusted frame and suspension bolts to popping nasty ball joints chucked to a C press. It laughs at lugnuts and stuff like that. Feathering the trigger to snug down fasteners is something you seem to get the hang of.
