My neighbor with the machine we were talking about over in Free Parking takes good care of his machines and wife and all that but he treats his tools like ****. This old ratchet was frozen, opened it and put some oil in, works now. The push-button release is missing. My questions to you very respected experts are: 1), Can I still get the parts. 2), Can I increase the tooth count with a kit?,. Many thanks, you guys know more in a

If there's a sears near you, yes, you can get a rebuild kit. Not sure if Ace does or not. That ones 8-12 years old, they switched to China on those a few months before I left years in 2012.

You can also go to the craftsman website and call or email with the 5 digit ratchet part number and they should have kits yet for that ratchet they will send to you. Not 100% sure, but I dont think theres really much option for tooth count changes with that style on the 1/2 drive.

make sure you tell them it's a USA model too, the import ratchet that looks identical actually takes a different kit. Not interchangeable.
