Nick the new guy here.

I've learned a lot of useful information about tools from this board in the last 6 months. Thanks.

I'm not a professional, just fix my own cars and general stuff around the house.

I live in Germany, so international shipping is a must from U.S. stores/online vendors.
Note: if anyone wants to buy tools "Made in Germany" this website has some excellent prices (I'm not sure about shipping fees to the USA) and service: http://www.tbs-aachen.de/ I bought a set of Stahlwille combo wrenches (openbox 14) and Hazet double open ends from them <<< thanks to advice from this board.

In my experience, German wrenches are usually good value (excellent quality/avg price) Also Knipex stuff (pliers/strippers) the same.

BUT, German made sockets/ratchets/impact tools are RIDICULOUSLY expensive here, and large quantity socket sets are rarely available.

I'm sure Monti will comment about my opinions...

I'm looking for a 1/2" drive impact universal/swivel adapter, not impact swivel sockets.

I would like to buy only Made in USA. I'm looking at Wright or Armstrong. Does anyone have any experience with a good brand?

I found the Wright here: https://www.ropesoapndope.com/store/product/socket-adaptor-impact-wright-%E2%80%93-swivel-12%E2%80%9D-5

Has anyone ordered from this website?

Thanks for your help

See if you can find a craftsman one. The hard part is you'll probably have to buy from a private seller to ensure its usa made. Anyways they make 2 ($45 & $16) that both work well. I actually broke the expensive one & had to get the cheaper one as warranty replacement. That one's held up to professional use for the last 3 years

Thanks for the replies and advice.

I ended up getting the Armstrong impact swivel...along with an SK Line wrench set and impact extension set and other tools I probably don't need.

I ordered them from https://www.jbtoolsales.com/ because the international shipping wasn't that bad...about $30. I'll try and post a review about my experience with them.

Epstein has an excellent selection and a lot of Made in USA stuff, but the int'l shipping is RIDICULOUSLY expensive, about $100 for a socket set!!

Ask Epstein about their shipping, they are willing to work with you. Shipping prices are high to me too when using the shipping calculator but an email with items and other means of shipping took care of that. Bunch of great people there and a member here too.

I have this set from Snap on, 3/8 & 1/2...

https://store.snapon.com/Universal-Joints-Impact--Set-Impact-Universal-Joint-2pc-P651362.aspx

You can but just the 1/2 drive here...
https://store.snapon.com/Universal-...t-Ball-Swivel-Lock-Button-2-1-2--P645137.aspx

The set I have is brand new (see below) and I would be willing to sell it. $70.00 plus shipping.... whatever that costs from the USA to Germany? PM if interested.

Edit: I now see where you said you already purchased one of these. Disregard my post. However, if anyone else is interested in my SO set feel free to PM me.

My set: (never used)

Thanks for all the advice.

I received the shipment yesterday.

I bought them from JBToolsales...in my situation(international shipping) I wouldn't use them again because it took about 3 weeks. But their prices are very competitive.
