Kind of an odd request but does anyone know a company that makes a 1/2" drive long e14 inverted torx socket? I know assenmacher makes a long e12 for doing BMW headbolts. I would like an e14 version for Mercedes head bolts. Anyone know where I can find one?
Thanks
Derek

Nutcase, I need it to be long or a deep socket, similar to what 1steve has linked. I would prefer it to be reputable brand though, I don't mind paying money for this socket because when your dealing with headbolts you don't want to mess around with a cheap socket that rounds off the head.

There are clearance issues and when torquing a head bolt an extension isn't always the greatest. I haven't tried a locking extension yet I might have to see if that would work.

uhh - beta is a pretty damn reputable brand... not particularly common in the US, but generally, they are high end tools.

If you would rather have Vim than Beta, you don't want reputable, you want cheap. Beta is a damned good tool.

Hey thanks for the replies guys, I had never heard of beta before so I was unsure of quality, I will have to look into that one and the koken tools one, they seem to be the longest. The wiha is only 37mm which is about the length of a standard 1/2" and the vim set is only 1/4" and 3/8" drive so it is no good. I see that I can get a koken one in 77mm or 140mm. Can anyone recommend a place to buy Koken tools?

You certainly wouldn't be disappointed with the Koken. They're great tools, very nicely made and finished.
