So I was in a used tool store today and the store that had a set of wera 1/2 drive torx from 25 up to 55 I think. They were brand new never used. I had never seen a set before and didn't ask about price cause I wasn't sure what they were worth. I searched everywhere and can't find them. Are they only available in the zyklop sets? I didn't want to make the guy an offer without know the retail price but I want them real bad.

Wera here!
Yes, those must be NOS, as they were discointiued from our catalog program over 10 years ago. I'm sure they will serve you well, but we decided to change our system on these products and use an adaptor for 1/2" drive to 1/4" hex, and allow the consumer to use replacement bits, instead of having to replace the complete (more costly) unit, in the event of a bit failure. I hope this helps!

Wera Tools Located in Stoney Creek? As much as I love Wera tools I will probably pass on them and buy a set from company that still makes them. It's too bad cause they were real nice.

I never really asked for just the torx set cause he had a whole bunch of stuff. Triple Square, Torx, Internal torx, Hex, these wired hex that had a spigot in the center kind of like a reverse security torx that I've never seen before. I inquired about the entire lot and he said probably $250 but I bet I could get it for $200 or less and thats probably 30 pieces.

there are screws ("RIBE-IC") for that but a normal hex bit should work there too. Never came across a screw or a socket like this though...
But you could grind the spigot off :)

yes that is it. I thought about grinding it off. I'm probably going back to the tool store this weekend. The seller has boxes of insulated Wera screwdrivers and the electricians at my work all want some. I also want to have a closer look at the wera set. I only looked at it quick the last time cause I spent all the money I took with me.
