1/2 Flex Ratchet for Mechanic?

I had a one, disliked it. It was a Mac, but there was nothing wrong with the quality. It felt like every time I wanted to pull hard on something, the flexible part wanted to buckle in a direction that was inconvenient.

I sold my 1/2" Gearwrench flex for just that reason. Pull hard and not 100% straight and it would rotate and put your knuckles into somewhere that hurt. Seems to be more of an issue with the ball detent type flexhead, since they want to jump to the next detent with any flex in the handle. I really liked that ratchet until I ended up buying a used 36 tooth Snap-on locking flex on eBay, and problem solved.

Used mine this weekend doing a rear brake job on my F150. Used the 3/8" bent handle flex Snap-on I got a couple months ago. Made the caliper bolts fast and easy; could have done them with something else, but it was just the right thing to speed the job up a minute or two, plus make sure my knuckles didn't hit anything. As I said before, I got by for a long time without one, but really like them now that I have them.

It's all I use. Going to sell off or trade the straight handle ones I have.
