This 1/2 HP showed on CL for $25.00 I don't have a 1/2 HP looks like a good project. Missing the glass but could probably salvage some off of my other block grinder. Worth $25.00? Again a want not a need.

Yes a good deal so jump on it...and this is coming from a man who thinks they are the ugliest looking dogs out there (my opinion only), everyone else on the GJ thinks they are the Kat's meow!

It's ok... I would look for a better one. Look for rear exhaust and two piece tool rests.

That's super cheap.

Its easy to make a tool rest and you can order Dayton eye shields from Zoro that can be easily adapted to these grinders. You might even be able to order a quench pot from Sears.

An honest 1/2 HP is perfectly adequate for most tasks.

No question. Buy it. Like others have said, the spare parts are worth more than that.

Definitely take it. The wheels are worth more than that. But offer him $20 first. He'll most likely take is.

Really? An old 6-inch grinding wheel and wire wheel are worth more than $25? In the Chicago area they're worth about $3 total.
