Basically, I have the following dilemma.
I'm looking at buying a Bosch 18 volt impact bare tool, I had some some issues with deciding between the 1/4'' or the 1/2'', but the 1/2'' one ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004YIVU76/?tag=atomicindus08-20 ) is just that little bit lighter and more powerful so I've decided to go with that one. The downside however is, that it doesn't accept bits like the 1/4'' one does, nor does it accept drillbits. So I've been looking for an adapter to solve that issue, and the only thing that came to mind was basically a drill chuck that fits on a 1/2'' male.

I've come across the following: http://www.cowanchuck.com/id1.html

That seems to be solution, in my eyes.

But i was wondering if anyone had ever used something like that, if it works well or if I should just go with the 1/4'' Bosch since it's easier to get adapters for it.

Basically what I want is, a powerful/light and versatile 18 volt Bosch that works with my 18 volt batteries that I already have. I'm just looking for the best road to get there.

Thanks for looking!
