Like my 3/8" picture, here compares the relative lengths of 1/2" drive impact sockets. From left to right Astro Nano, Tekton standard, Genius semi-deep (thin-wall), Tekton deep.
I like that the Genius is fully stepped. The 10-24mm set (no skips) is reasonably priced and might be the best value starter set for someone just getting started with impact sockets as well as a good addition for the average GJ tool hoarder.
P.S. 10mm sockets are of course quantum objects, once you know where they are you cannot simultaneously know where they will be when you next look.
