1/2 inch drive milwalkie drill

I have an old milwalkie 1/2 inch drive drill its the old all silver case no plastic.
I was using it and it just stopped I stopped using it let it cool it worked then it stopped again does not work at all now.
Anyone know what could be the problem how to fix or does anyone know where i could get it fixed.

New brushes maybe?

You could send it to Milwaukee to be fixed. Look up their website.

Changes the brushes and clean out the carbon flowing in the windings if that does not work it means the lacquer on the windings is go and the motor need rewinding or just some lacquering
