1/2" NPT thread to 1/2" compression fitting thread

I am adding an aftercooler to my air compressor using an oil cooler (200 psi tested). It has female 1/2" NPT threads coming out of it, but I have 1/2" threaded compression fittings coming off my compressor.

I will be using 3/8" ID/1/2" OD copper and using the 1/2" compression fittings but need a 1/2" male NPT adapter. Does such a thing exist?

When I set up my 240v compressor a few years back, my local napa dealer made the hoses to get everything to work.

You should be able to get what you need at anyplace that makes hydraulic hoses

That fitting should work and you should be able to buy them at most any decent hardware store, probably even in the BB Lowes/HD.

If you set it up right, you should be able to use the fan on the compressor for air movement through the cooler.

I was thinking that, but the problem is I have a 120v compressor and the fan just doesn't move much air at all. It would be great to use it but I don't think I'm going to be able to.

I am debating to either set it up before the air enters the compressor or just do it near the end of my hose line before it enters the reel.

I looked in Lowes and HD and neither had the adapter unfortunately, at least that I could tell.

Swagelok makes an adapter fitting, they just cost an arm and a leg.

You want it between the Compressor and the tank for maximum benefit.

Yep with a filter in between to get all the condensed water. I'd be able to set up a separate fan if I have it set up after the line run.
