Everyone is probably gona laugh but what about the ones from Griots garage? And also check this place out http://www.ttlcal.com/ They come to my school every year displaying nice tools and equipment for A&P mechanics. I inquired about a TW for home use and the rep told me to check out the used section. Lots of oldies but goodies in there for cheep. Take a look. Take it or leave it but I still think its cool and a sweet way to get some vintage us made stuff that nobody else has.

Thanks
Sean Scott

Gray Tools, I've had mine for a couple years, used regularly in the summer, works great, made in the USA too (even though Gray is a Cdn co.). Get one when they go on sale.

One of the main reasons we recommend the PI split beam torque wrenches is the simplicity of them. If you forget the set the dial to zero, you haven't hurt a thing, doesn't matter. The flex head is real nice and they just plain work! Only downside is they do not torque counterclockwise, but many other torque wrenches also do not, so its not really and issue unless you have a specific job (LH thread lugnuts?) that need to be torqued.
