I am trying to decide between a Metabo N5010A and N5008AC2. It seems that 1/2" crown staples are hard to find. Despite that, I'm not sure which size is better to get. I plan on doing a variety of house renovation tasks. These may include stapling insulation, wrap on the exterior of a garage, potentially tacking wires in place, and whatever other tasks I encounter. I already have a framing nailer, finishing nailer, and brad gun.
Specifically, what would be the reason for choosing a 7/16" 16 gauge stapler vs a 1/2" 16 gauge stapler?

That is more of a structural stapler and not really suitable for the uses you listed! They are perfect for stapling 1x lumber together or attaching plywood to shelving.

I have two , a narrow crown ( 1/4 inch wide staples up to 1 1/2 inch long ) and wide crown ( 7/16 up to 5/8 long ) I use 1/4 long in wide for upholstery stuff. the other I use for things like chicken wire , weld wire , trim and even 7/16 osb inside sheds . just a diyer so both are from HF. Have run thousands of staples through them with zero issues.
