I would consider it. Toolbox space is usually at a premium. I really don’t like having tools in my box that I never use.Buyer remorse should not be a valid return reason. It raises prices for everybody. If you don't need them, sell them.

if you have a Ford truck, BUY the 16mm socket. Shallow/Deep/whatever.16mm.
And 27mm (or 1-1/16” which is basically the same) is common enough to recommend.
^ THIS. I won't get into a 6-point vs. 12-point argument, but you really don't need both.I wouldn’t bother buying both 6 point and 12.
^ THIS is the real reason I am responding to this thread. Notwithstanding all arguments about SAE being obsolete, you will at some point in time encounter it, and life will be easier if you're prepared. Go up to 1-1/4" - and don't duplicate it. I would go with strictly deep-well 6-points on 1", 1-1/6", 1-18", and 1-1/4". You will watch 2 dozen blue moons cross the night sky before you need to use one. You can thank me then.If I’m using SAE, I quite often need a similar size range - say up to 1 1/4?

I have that set. It is pretty great for the money.Allow me to muddy the waters a bit. More than a few years ago, I picked up a Genius Tools 1/2 drive metric semi deep impact socket set, and it became my reach for first 1/2 drive socket set.

Now, it may not meet your needs and definitely shop around for the best price. If using 1/2 drive, space isn't usually an issue and I'm also usually using it on some type of an impact wrench. There will be other sizes needed for axle nuts, and you might need a 30 mm 12 point socket once in a while but, this set covers most of what I do quite nicely. Your results may vary. Good luck in your quest.![]()
