I must be the only guy in the world who wants a pair of 1/4" drive 5/8" sockets in shallow AND deep.:wtf:
SO sells the shallow but not the deep:mad: you have to get the deep in Blue point but they don't offer the shallow.
Matco, Mac, and Cornwell don't offer either one.
but everyone will sell you a 15mm:wtf:
all this leaves me a little irritated to say the least.
does anyone know where I can find a matching set of these sockets?
I bit the bullet and bought the matco 15mm shallow and deep but now im stuck
any information would be helpful
thanks

thanks for the find. problem is you can buy the deep from snap on for like $4 shipped free so that makes the shallow like $13 and because im **** that way I can't justify paying more for blue point that the TM20 snap on.

lol I understand what you mean, but sometimes if you want something odd you may have to spend a couple more dollars, just sayin. I wouldnt want to pay more myself though lol.

i will get the numbers from my set in the morning.

it seems like there is a few who only have the shallow or the deep but not both. or it may be that you have to buy the set to get them.... not available by the singles.
I have a guy that sells SK so maybe he can order them for me if I give him the part numbers.. then ill have 3 brands of sockets in my 1/4" set :shocking:
thanks

I take it you are trying to fill your hanson trays?
Here is a suggestion. I just cut the sizes I didn't have off the ends. For example my 3/8 SK sets range from 8-19, so I cut off about the first two inches of the tray that contained the pegs for 6mm and 7mm. Did the same on the other end to remove the 20mm peg. No reason to waste space in my box with sockets I'll never use or empty tray spaces.

On the 20, I put a 21mm

Blue point

BLPS1458 $2.25
BLPLS1458 $4.05

For some reason the short socket doesn't show in the catalog, but if you search the number it shows up.

These are the only two sockets I need to fill up my trays. Most of my odd sizes are sk. I do have a wright 1/2 drive 3/8 on the way. Gearwrench is also good for filling the weird sizes.

Actually no. I use the Mechanics Time Savers magnetic socket holders.....
they are spendy I probably have over $150 worth of them, but after using them I couldn't live without em'.

I have some 5/8 deep wells that were made by Apex. Not chrome but very nice sockets.

I bought them at a swap meet about 20 years ago.

I really like apex tools.

the blue point sockets are holding up real well.
I do not mind selling them to a beginner tech that cannot swing the payments on a full snap on set
