I would like to find a source to buy 1/4" drive standard & deep 6 point chrome sockets to fill the spaces on my 1/4" Hanson socket rack.

I don't care what brand they are. My socket set is already mixed. In fact 3 of the sockets are mat finished chrome from Elora.

Does anyone know where I can buy these?

Elora, are they made in Germany? I've seen that line of tool sold here

Yes they are German made. It's an industrail tool company. I saw a thread on here about them I think Dink posted. I bought 3 sockets and a screwdriver from them. I really like what I bought and they have great service. I got my tools in about 4 days.

Their website is: http://www.bloomertool.com/

Thank's for the info on Snap-on & SK

That will take care of the standard socket.

Now where to get a 1/4" X 5/8" 6 point deep socket?

Yeah me to ... hahahaha ... all I can find is an impact socket to ... MSC Industrail Supply has an Armstrong ... I've been looking off and on for a week or so and I havn't been able to find one

Surely someone out there knows where to get one ... if there is such a thing

Geez... I checked Proto and they don't have it. I'm starting to think that there isn't one available, unless you have someone machine you one....

That's an idea ... but I don't think I want one that bad ... but thank's for the idea ... I hadn't thought of that ... I bet it would cost a fortune

maybe someone here knows where to get one and just hasn't seen this thread yet ... I haven't seen Dink on here for a couple of day's ... It wouldn't suprise me if he knows where to find one

I'd cut the square-drive end off of a 3/8" deep socket and weld a 1/4" drive plug into it's place before I had one custom machined.

Make sure you use a stick welder and just close your eyes and look away... so it looks EXTRA jury-rigged.

I bet the guy that designed the Hanson 1/4" drive fractional socket rack was laughing his *** off when he put that 5/8" peg on there.

The SK 1/4" dr. standard depth 5/8" socket is a new product. It would not surprise me if the demand for it is being driven by these popular socket organizers. Maybe SK will add the deep one soon. Until then, it is a great place to put your wedding ring while you work on the car.

So I am not the only one to think that a 5/8 socket is pretty big to drive with 1/4inch ratchet though I guess it could be helpful in a real tight situation.

I ordered the 5/8 shallow socket from Snap-on last night... yeah I bet the guy at Hanson was laughing when he put the 5/8 peg on the 1/4" socket rack ... but since Snap-on and SK have the shallow version and Hanson seems to have created a demand ... that 5/8 deep socket will show up one of these days
