1/4" hex socket adapters?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a short adapter for 1/4" hex to use sockets? The ones I've seen are too long (like the ones in the pic).
I am looking for one that will let the socket sit basically flush with the end if the chuck.

I'd like to be able to use 1/4" sockets instead of nut drivers.

Basically I'd like to convert a 1/4 hex drive tool to a 1/4 square drive impact.

2" and longer power bit adapters are common, 1" insert bit adapters are available via industrial suppliers.

I can't remember where I got mine but it's the same length as a standard hex bit so they are out there.

Same here. I've got a couple of sets and one set is much shorter than the others...too bad I have no idea where it came from!

Look in the sets that have a screwdriver handle, multiple size ratchets and bits.

APEX has the shortest:

1/4'' drive - 1 3/8'' total length

I guess Snap On FBS8,FBS9,FBSM8A things are sort of the opposite of what O.P. is looking for--but hard to find on the website I think they are under "screwdrivers"
hex driven things can be 1/4" but also 5/16" ?
convert 5/16" hex drive to square instead of 1/4" hex to square?
thing for the end of KoKen Attack Hand Impact Driver converts 1/2" drive to 5/16" hex I think

Snap On CRD8B (shortest) vs Unknown shank (middle) vs harbor freight shank (longest)
Snap on is 1-3/16" from top to bottom. Shortest ive ever come across.

So I think I'll order a couple of snap on GMB3041 and file a groove into it. Thanks everyone for pointing me in the right direction. Sometimes its hard to know what term to google for even tho you know there has to be something out there like what you are looking for.
