Last night while I was walking through the tool dept. at the HD I found a (new to me) air tool product. The product states..."Unique push button design allows for a fast and easy connection and disconnection of tools while eliminating air pressure and air blow back".

Seems like a really nice idea anyone ever tried the following product and did you like it or think it was just junk?

ritman sounds like you have one not something worth buying or do you like the product?

I have one I picked up for the heck of it. It's on a tire inflater of mine (so I can easily change out the schrader chucks on it), and it's fine for what I'm using it for. IIRC, it's a push-in style, so that's a plus.
Other than that, I can't say I've tested it to its limits. For most of my QD connectors, I use the universal style push-in brass female ends that cost a little less.

I have a couple made by Legris in a twist version. It's a heavy duty plastic much like their push to connect fittings. Works well in my garage and I'd assume in an industrial setting, I doubt they'd hold up under typical shop abuse.

I have one and for the $5 I spent on it works good. Good thing I like is that it's a universal coupler. You can use both style male ends.

Apparently the one person on the planet that didn't know you had to hold onto the damn hose when you disconnect it let it whip around, hit him in the face, and put his eye out. So now the rest of the world has to buy "safety" connectors. Sigh.

I'm pretty safety conscious but this just seems silly.

I think WoodstockVA did a video on an air coupler that was like that. It let you connect or disconnect it unpressurized. Might be something relavent to check out.

Any aluminum bodied coupler is **** and won't hold up to real use, especially if you're prone to dropping your hose on concrete, like I see most knuckle draggers in shops doing. I mean, what's up with that! ..they disconnect whatever tool they're using and just open hand, letting the damned thing drop to the floor, CLANK. CLANK, CLANK...all day, talk about a beating!
..and some knockoff Chicom BORG special priced at $5?! Seriously?

..you want THESE.

The "regular" type is free flowing, compact and made of STAINLESS STEEL. Been using these for a least 10+ yrs. Bulletproof and non-marring.
