Not a huge fan of Matco's business model of reboxing, but I am looking for a set of 1/4" collar-style locking extensions. My top contender had been SK 4941, but it appears that the Matco's are less expensive. Are these being made by A.J. mfg.? Product page states USA.

I really like the Stahlwille locking extensions that use a push button. They come in many different lengths too.

Stahlwille with exposed button:

Wera also makes extensions with a push button.

Wera "flexible lock" extensions:

Based on the Armstrong, Matco & S-K mix of random lengths & drive sizes I have they are all by the same OE. Pretty good chance AJ makes them.

They do work rather nicely IMO.

Have you had a look at Proto? They are around $20 to $30 each on Zoro.1675809009535.png
I have not. Didn’t realize they existed- I guess I did not look hard enough. Thanks.

I find these Mac Tools locking hand-drive locking extensions to be very useful. I haven't found many places where the handle gets in the way, but keep in mind that I am a DIYer and not a pro.

I have the Stahlwille models shown above. I like them. I also prefer the button style to the pull back sleeve type.

I wonder if AJ made Armstrong's too, or if they picked up the ball and ran with it after Armstrong shuttered. :dunno:

I know Cripe distributing offered several of the Armstrong versions but, that stock may have dried up by now. I really like my MAC versions as they have knurling around the female square drive end.

I was talking with my Matco guy and he says the chrome are a bit too soft and go with the impact version.
