1/4" snap on ratchet?

do you guys think a 6 7/8" long model is better than the shorter one... keep in mind i currently have a shorter raised panel craftsman... so is the extra length a good idea?

I personally prefer the T72 over the TL72 but that is just me.

Why not have both? You can't go wrong with a Snap-On.

yeah cash flow is kind of low.... so i gotta choose between the two....

i have a short and long 1/4'' ratchet and really the only place that i notice a big difference is when i'm working under a dash. if you don't do a lot of underdash work, the long one would would give you better leverage.

If you already have the shorter Craftsman, I would go with the long Snap-on TL72 for the second one.

T72 is my fav 1/4" rat. you can never go wrong with a longer rat

at work i seldom use anything in 1/4" dr.
when i do, i normally have to use a short (teardrop head) ratchet due to space limitations.
the other 1/4" dr ratchet i use is a round head, long flex with a spinner wheel.

in the garage, i have a long handle SO, and an off brand stubbie,

i do have several broken SK's laying around........

If you want the best of both worlds, get the 1/4" flex ratchet. My short and long 1/4" usually just sit now.

While I love most of my Snap-on tools, I have had three T72 1/4" drive ratchets. I've had them warranted and replaced over and over. My Snap-on dealer does admit there have been some issues with these. I finally got tired of them breaking and bought a Matco 88 and have had zero issues with it for over a year now. It's smoother and ultra reliable. Give one a test drive before you take the plunge on the Snap-on

I use the long flex head ratchet without the lock, best tool for dash work, flip the handle up to use as a speed handle, can't do that with the round head type.
