I have that same set and use them daily all summer long working on watercraft. They are THE BEST for stubby's. I wish they made a set just like them with a ball hex end too.
I have something close in standard, but have not seen a metric set.

All six point sockets are hex sockets if you think about it.
That would be a female head on a six point socket.

Also, a socket in general has a female recession to slip over a fastener head. Sort of like a light bulb socket, or a sock that slips over your foot.

By extension, a hex socket would be a female socket with a hex extension bit added to it. Maybe a hex bit socket, and, by extension, a torx bit socket.

Anyway, I have enough of each, so as long as I remember where I put them, I’m ok.

I'd check out used snapon on ebay - they have a stubby set for $120 + 10 shipping, looks to be in great condition. I got mine years ago for $90 and it's done me well. Might be cheaper sets too over time or if you dig deeper.

snap on doesn't make a 1/4 drive hex bit set with sizes larger than 4mm. 5+ are 3/8 drive. this is very common, and all the sets I'd found are like that, with some having the break after 5 instead of before. Either way, useless for me.

The tekton set I ordered showed up yesterday. they look good, but I haven't used them yet. Also included was a 12 point 1/4 drive deep 15mm socket, which despite what the boomers say, i have a use for, and which isn't rounding off fasteners just by existing.

Not sure if you did, but always remember to include the free sticker! 😁

@dscheidt with that shipping envelope I'd be worried my UPS driver would be off with that thing. I wish they would ship in plain packaging
