Hello,

Irwin and other manufactures produce an 1/4" square to 1/4" Hex adapter.

Does anyone make a 1/4 inch (6.35mm) Square to >> 5/32 inch (4mm) adapter?

__ (below is a pic of a 1/4" square to 1/4" hex adapter)

I'm looking around for a 1/4" (square) TO 4mm (hex) adapter to use (4mm) microbits with a 1/4 inch (ratchet) socket wrench or drive handle.

I think you'll be stuck getting something likes Stahlville ptdstw444 or equivalent with 4mm i.d. and depending on the retention style , maybe pressing your own magnet in.

I have a 1/4 hex to the smaller hex drive here. I found it buried in a junk box I was given.so they exist. Torque probably isn't high in tiny bit use so something like that might work.

Yes that eventually dawn on me. I just purchased my first Microbit set, which I'm not all that familiar with, from KC Tool.

Though I have repaired smaller equipment and electronics my primary profession was using tools and heavy equipment while working with 30+ ton modules in the shipyards. It was dirty work, but paid well.

I looked around at less expensive microbit sets from ~$10.00 to ~$25.00, which all have reviews of their bits breaking and / or not fitting correctly. All are made in China and none have any sort of warranty or replacement parts and bits.

The most promising under ~$25.00 for price and quality may be a Nanch 22 and 31 piece sets for around ~$25.00

However their are one star reviews of bits breaking and/or not fitting correctly, etc.

So I decided to go with a German made set from Wiha, which have been in business quite a long time. Wiha has a one year warranty and a lifetime warranty for defective pieces.

Hex bits and similar tools don't generally have a lifetime warranty if one breaks or wears out it will be replaced, bits don't normally have an extensive or lifetime warranty.

This is the set I found, cost with 10% off coupon was ~$60.00 with free shipping.
