Do you know if anyone makes a 1/4" torque wrench over 30 NM? Is there anything in 1/4" that goes up to 35 or 40 NM?

Can you give a good rational reason for needing or wanting it in 1/4 inch. Torque wrenches work best closer to middle of range. The highest and lowest setting are ify ify.
I am looking at a 1/4 with a rating of 15 inch pounds so I can do preload on gearboxes. Currently the shop is using a 75 inch pound unit and being sure of 6 to 10 lbs of preload is rough to differentiate with 75 in/lb unit.
I am sure most of us are curious for the need you have.

Starting to smell troll.
Discussions normally require response, unless there is an other purpose to the post.
We have a lot of members and I appears a fair amount are in non participation mode.
Guessing there is a bunch of posters that just post for reaction, other to derail a thread and the other popular option can I get it closed.
Thought the purpose here was to exchange garage related info.

Hazet has a 4-40nm wrench in the 6000 series

its abot $320-$350 dollars to USA

stahlwhille probably has a similar range available

in other words, look to the EU for this

the limit on 1/4 square drive is something like 50-60nm

and most folks want a 2x safety factor

so you seem alot of 1/4 drive stopp at the 25-30nm range

if you go into that territory make sure it is a good piece of kit
