I have an old clock I keep on the counter in the bathroom. The battery died and I don't have the right size, but the old one got thrown away by the "cleanup crew".

The PX76A/675A Duracell which replaces the PX675 is a little too tall. The diameter is good, but I can't put the back on it.

I tried to Google sizes, but really didn't find it.

Does anyone know a site to go to or which battery would be just a little bit "shorter"? Again, the diameter is good, and the PX76A is taped in for now, but I'd like to get the right battery.

Thanks.

Thanks Jinks, but it is a little travel clock and there are no markings on it.

I'm surprised that the battery # isn't shown on the inside of the battery compartment. Appears the PX76A crosses to the LR44/SR44. LR43/SR43 is slightly thinner and may fit. The 44 is 5.4mm, the 43 is 4.2mm thick.

That Maxell chart is the one I use to figure stuff out. It looks like the original battery here was the wrong thing. (It is a hearing aid battery.)

Using the Maxell chart and a micrometer should allow you to figure out the proper size and chemistry for the device.
