Good morning. Hope you are all having a productive or relaxing weekend in the shop!
The garage refresh continues. Most everything is out on pallets in the driveway area, covered with blue tarps. Course it decides to rain this week.
Paint was finished yesterday. I didn't realize how awful it looked before. The ceiling paint has brightened it considerably. The walls, well, the daughter stopped by to help paint and said-"Dad, did you pick this color because it looks like nursery blue".
hmmmm, well yea I did. Looked good in HD. I'll post pic later today with any luck.
Today is the install of the 1/8" white, water resistant, smooth panelboards. Since I wash down the shop on a regular basis we have decided to install these panels sideways along the base of the shop. I picked up a bunch of liquid nails construction adhesive. But have to go back to HD this morning as I found out that the panels need to be caulked with %100 silicone (?)instead of the silicone acrylic I bought. Crapppola.
Seems that it will attract a lot more dirt to it that way right? I was going to place the cap strips only on the top as the base (bottom) will be caulked as this will be at the floor and really wet at times.
Long winded, sorry. I'll go get some breakfast now while you digest this epistle.
