$1 a wrench

I got 5 wrenches for $5. The brands include 1 mac 2 craftsman and 2 fleet. I'm still new to garage and estate sales so let me know if the price was fair. The biggest was a 7/8 Mac covered in paint so I have another question. What is the safest way to remove paint from a wrench? Vinegar? let me know thanks

To remove the paint you can soak in Castrol super clean or purple power,
or brake fluid. Non of these will hurt the finish. Or just wire wheel on a bench grinder!-Not!

at first I was worried bout the paint but it actually seems to have preserved the wrench so if it comes off easy its a bonus

The real good finds are when they are flare nut wrenches, or a similar specialty wrench.

Throw them in a container of acetone overnight, the paint will be at the bottom of the container in the morning.

Think I got some left over brake fluid. I'll get it soakin!

Got an example so I can know what to look for? One wrench has a little offset hah thats kinda specialty. There were specialty tools there also but I just didn't know what to look for or even what I was looking at. I'm still an amateur mechanic.

Name brand wrenches for $1 or less and sockets for .50 or less is my general rule of thumb for garage sales, flea markets, etc. Nice score BTW!
