I've been reading these pages for a few years now, not posting too much but enjoying a lot of the posts here. I bought a small house a couple years ago and decided to take the knowledge I found here to 'upgrade' the floor of my small (19'X12') attached garage. The floor was previously painted with the 'good' and now unavailable paint of years ago. I needed the garage floor done before moving in tools and toys otherwise it may not of happened (something I learned here).
This is what I started with:
1st pic is the one piece door and a bad paint job
2nd pic is what the garage floor looked like when I found it
3rd pic is the old paint that was a PITA to remove, yes the buffer with stones did NOT work.
4th looked like a good corner for a compressor maybe?
Last pic is all the dust during the grinding of the floor getting all the paint off

Not sure how to attach the pics in the thread, sorry about the thumbnails. I will post the end results momentarily.
This was just a test to see how the floor holds up to daily abuse and to see how the manufacturers recommended coverage would look like and what size of cracks it would cover without being fixed

So, I updated the door, of course the rest of the house still needs painted (but that's outside the garage not a priority):

The floor now done. As you can see I didn't fill the cracks, wanted to get an idea how much the product covers. Also wanted to see if I could add decals and if I had any issues:

Then put the toys where they belong :)

And found something to fit in the corner:

Still have all the walls and such to do, but it's getting there.

Yep, well on your way to a great garage. Does not have to be big, just well thought out and professionally executed. What do you have planned for the walls? Have you given any thought to electrical requirements to include audio visual and internet?

Turbo,

I knew it was going to be a while before I got a decent shop built so I have already put up new circuits on all the walls every 4 feet, have installed cameras for the doors and windows and also all the wiring for CAT6 and cable. Also put in 50A ckts for the new compressor and another for the welder. The walls all have 1/2" OSB right now (picture isn't recent), will paint it all white for now to clean it up.

Danallen, Thanks! It was the first one I've done, did it myself with a little help from my brother-in-law did the pouring while I spread it out. Learned some things but came out pretty well.

Nice F4 you have there. What clutch cover do you have on the duc. Look like it will put out allot of dry clutch sounds.

How did you do the logos on the floor? I assume they are decals. Where did you get them and how do you protect them from damage?

Are you hanging angle grinders and stuff from your electrical? I'm sure I'm not seeing it right.

Ralph,
I had the decals made out of vinyl by the local sign guy, put down the color coat first then broadcast the flakes, set the decals after that and then the clear coat so they are covered in epoxy, no damage worries. Although the only thing I would have done different was not broadcast flakes in that area because there were a few under the decal.

nocones,
Yes I was hanging my grinders there for a short time until I moved in my tool boxes and benches, the walls are covered now and all the power tools have shelves of their own. Not the best practice but at the time I didn't want anything on the floor.
